News:

Studio 5 Partnership has been commissioned to complete the design and construction drawings for a new 11,000 square foot clubhouse for the Morris Yacht and Beach Club located on the southern tip of City Island, New York.  The building design is focused on having the ballroom, bar and expansive outdoor deck spaces overlook the water, while keeping the service aspects of the building as out of the way as possible.  The distinctive internally lit "lantern" element on the roof will be visible on the water at night from miles away acting as an identifiable landmark for sailing vessels.  Construction is scheduled to be completed summer of 2010.

Studio 5 Partnership is working with the board of this Englewood condominium to replace and restore an 8 unit structure that was severely damaged during a fire this past December. Studio 5 and our structural engineers, Innovative Engineering, surveyed the structure, made a determination of the extent of the damage and developed a course of action to replace and restore the structure. Construction documents are under way and an initial meeting with the Englewood Building Department to determine code interpretations for the work have begun.  The challenge is restoring the building to its original condition while meeting current building and fire code requirements. Studio 5 has extensive experience dealing with restoration of fire damaged buildings and structures having completed several projects in the past including their own former offices in Fair Lawn.

Studio 5 Partnership is working with a small Korean community group to design and develop their permanent cultural and religious center. Design services include site and zoning feasibility studies as well as building design and space planning studies to determine the size of the building needed to accommodate their current and future needs, help determining probable construction costs, identification of zoning and utility issues are also being provided this group whose financial resources are both limited and taxed during these economic times. The site in Elmwood Park is being studied to determine it's suitability however other sites will be identified and studied as well. Studio 5 is working closely with the Pastor and other members of the Building and Expansion Committee to develop an optimal design program to meet the special needs of the Congregation.
